這三個長得那么像的詞和詞組

究竟是有關(guān)系還是沒關(guān)系呢？

on line/on the line

on line主要有兩個意思。

line有隊伍的意思

on line =wait in a line of people

意思就是排在隊伍里

另外，on line有在線、上線的意思

就等于online

大家平時登陸QQ或游戲的上線

就是用online表示

而on the line就和上網(wǎng)、排隊沒關(guān)系了

on the line表示處在危險狀態(tài)、命懸一線

一般是put/lay sth on the line

可以是jobs、career、reputation、friendship等等

也可以用put one"s neck/oneself on the line

表示把...置于危險的狀態(tài)

除此之外，

on the line還表示打電話、保持通話

這時候line相當于phone

這花不了多長時間，媽媽已經(jīng)排在付款的隊伍里。

line of latitude/longitude

line可以表示兩個區(qū)域之間人為假設(shè)的線

就比如經(jīng)線緯線，國際日期變更線這類地理名詞

或是國界線、州界線這類地區(qū)邊線
